ABOUT
who we are.
The Sunshine Coast Junior Doctors Society (SCJDS) is a dynamic and inclusive organisation dedicated to representing and supporting junior doctors across the Sunshine Coast.
Founded with the vision of empowering our medical workforce, SCJDS is built on three core pillars: advocacy, academics, and social connection. We are passionate advocates for junior doctors, working to improve workplace conditions, promote wellbeing, and ensure fair representation at all levels of hospital administration.
Through collaboration with the Medical Education Unit and senior leadership, we actively engage in initiatives that drive positive change. Our academic arm supports continuous learning and professional development. We partner with educators and specialists to deliver high-quality teaching, skills workshops, and exam preparation resources tailored to the needs of junior doctors.
SCJDS also recognises the value of community and connection. Our vibrant calendar of social events—from end-of-term mixers to our annual ball—provides opportunities to unwind, build friendships, and foster a supportive medical community. Together, we strive to create a healthier, happier, and more united future for junior doctors on the Sunshine Coast.
